All about face

I finished this little gouache today. I originally started it sometime ago with the dual intention of developing a plan for the first painting, whilst at the same time hoping to complete a small, finished painting for the exhibition. Because this was the first painting, I was unsure of exactly the approach and colour palette that I would use. Ironically, the larger oil on canvas became the study for this little gouache.
